Tuition is required prior to a student's 1st lesson/class.
New private-lesson students may enter at any point during the year and prorate their tuition.
Private Lesson Tuition is only refundable with 30 days notice.
If you paid Private Lesson tuition in full, a prorated amount is refundable with 30 days notice.
Orchestra and Group Classes may only receive a refund within 2 weeks of the class start date.
Summer Term private lessons are highly flexible; we do not offer refunds for summer lessons.

Four(4) make-up lessons are permitted from September 1st - May 31st
Lessons cancelled by the student with at least 24-hours notice will be rescheduled.
Lessons cancelled by the teacher will be rescheduled.
If you do not show up for a scheduled lesson and provide no notice, then the lesson is forfeited.
Emergencies will be taken into consideration case-by-case with the instructor.
The Immanuel School of Music is committed to providing a "safe sanctuary" for children and persons of all ages to experience music education. We have established policies that protect this environment. We commit to compliance on our part and expect it from those who entrust their children to us.
All students under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult (other than the instructor) over the age of 18, who will remain in the immediate vicinity with a visual contact of the student and instructor during the private lesson.
All classes and lessons will be taught in rooms with windows, or the doors will remain open during lessons.
All ISM instructors will have yearly background checks and will comply with the guidelines for "Screening and Hiring of Paid Staff" as specified in our policy.

If serious weather conditions occur, a decision to close will be published by email, website, and/or text messages.
Variables to be considered:
Whether sidewalks and parking lots can be cleared of snow/ice before traffic flow arrives.
Whether an authorized staff member is available to secure the building at closing.

Cancellations of schools will not determine our closings as the variables are quite different.
Free parking is available in our parking lots.
Please do not park in designated handicap spots unless you have an appropriate permit.
At Immanuel Church in Lakeside Park, please refrain from parking on Arcadia Ave, as this is residential street parking.
