Tithing is a biblically based way of supporting the mission of Christ.  Christ talked about the importance of such support many times and many places in the Bible.

As people begin to understand the importance of tithing -- the importance of giving to them as Christians -- it is understandable that not all persons can immediately meet the Biblical standard of 10% as a minimum.  Just as they grow in their faith, so to can they grow in commitment.  The following table shows a five year growth plan for a household earning $50,000.
