9:30 A.M. CLASSES

Semper Fidelis Class - Senior Adults (New Hope)

Adult Bible Study Class (New Hope)

New Class (New Hope)    "Finding God in The Shack" by Roger E. Olson. The study delves into many of the significant issues raised by the book, such as forgiving those who have done us great evil, how God acts in the world, how God is three persons in one and what difference this makes to us.  Many of us have experienced 'the great Sadness', the terrible burden that often accompanies and follows deep loss.  We question, “where is God and who is God?” when bad things happen to us.  Janet and Jim Fant will serve as facilitators.  Contact Jim at 859-750-8049 if interested in the class.

WOW Class (Room # 13 Lakeside Park)

Crusaders Class   (Library  Lakeside Park)

Celebrating Marriage Class (Room # 32  Lakeside Park)

Wesley Class  (Room # 33 Lakeside Park)   Bill Young & Betty Minor (co-facilitators).  The class usually selects short (8 to 12 week studies) which generally require a minimal amount of reading and written responses to various questions prior to each Sunday session.  Class time is involved in reviewing the assigned readings and discussion of questions and sharing our written responses. Class members are responsible for paying for class related study materials.

Average age of class members is 50+ and includes married couples and singles. The group is very supportive of one another, sharing prayer concerns and needs. We currently have 12 members and normal attendance averages 8+.

Holy Land Class (Room # 34 Lakeside Park)

A class that explores the Holy Land as the “Fifth Gospel” will be offered from September 13, 2009 through December 20 2009 at 9:30 AM in Room # 34.  Quentin Davis will serve as the class facilitator.

This course studies the geology and geography of the Holy Land using the Focus on the Family DVD series “That the World May Know” and follows the approximate route of the Holy Land Tour sponsored by Immanuel (Feb 1 – 10, 2010).  Students will learn how to put much of the Old and New Testaments into a geographical context. Contact:  Quentin Davis or qdavis@immanuelumc.org

Anyone can benefit from this class, not just persons going on the Holy Land Tour.

Seeking Him Class (Room # 23 - Pastoral offices,  Lakeside Park)

Seeking Him is a 12-week interactive study on personal revival. Get ready to experience the freedom and joy of an honest and humble heart, true repentance, God’s amazing grace, genuine holiness, a clear conscience, radical forgiveness, sexual purity, and walking in the Spirit. God says that if you seek Him you will find Him. What are you waiting for? Facilitated by Joani Weller and Ken Easley
