The Immanuel School of Music was founded in 2005 as an outreach ministry of Immanuel United Methodist Church. As we enter our third year of service to the Northern Kentucky Community, we still adhere to the high standards set forth in our Mission Statement. The School of Music serves the community through private lessons in Voice, Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Trumpet, Flute and Clarinet.  The  Children's Choir in Covington has performed throughout the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area as well as in Louisville Kentucky at the annual Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Each day is carefully planned and includes Bible study, movement, games, snacks, crafts, and special emphasis on the choral preparation and performance of this year’s musical:

Livin’ Inside Out In an Upside Down World. Zach, our star athlete, is injured before a big game.  He learns about humility and sacrifice, and how God’s way are different from the world’s ways, and how Jesus is the greatest example of living inside out in an upside down world!

Musik Garten Classes

Immanuel School of the Arts is happy to announce the start of Musik Garten classes this spring. Musik Garten is a highly regarded method of teaching music to infants and youngsters with involvement by the parents or caregivers.

Family Music for Babies & Toddlers
Newborn – 20 months
Tuesdays 12:45 - 1:15 p.m.

Classes designed for parents and their babies to take together.  This 30 minute class helps you learn how to play musically with your child through bouncing and rocking songs, peek-a-boo games, dancing and singing.  These activities will increase your child’s curiosity abut music, develop listening skills, sense of beat and establish a foundation for singing and musical thought.  It also brings you into a closer bond with your child.  The family also receives a Parent Book with CD and a cloth instrument pouch with rhythm instruments.
Tuition:  $132.00 includes family pack; $80.00 for siblings.

Music Makers at the Keyboard
Ages 5 – 7 years
Tuesdays 6:30 – 7:20 p.m.

Piano study with peers in a group setting nurtures the musician inside each child in the most positive setting for children this age – with each other.  It helps children learn from each other and overcome performance anxiety.  Most importantly, group study keeps the joy in making music!  Experiences include singing, playing musical games, free and structured movement, playing instruments and ensemble work, ear training and guided listening.  It is a developmentally sound approach to music literacy that builds symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression.  Parents play a vital role in establishing good practice habits at home; this is facilitated with two excellent CDs for each level, together with games and ideas shared with parents in the final section of each lesson.
Tuition: $145.00 includes books and CDs; $80.00 for sibling

10 Week Session begins Tuesday, March 11

Come for a preview class without obligation!
