School of Music
The Immanuel School of Music was founded in 2005 as an outreach ministry of Immanuel United Methodist Church. As we enter our third year of service to the Northern Kentucky Community, we still adhere to the high standards set forth in our Mission Statement. The School of Music serves the community through private lessons in Voice, Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Trumpet, Flute and Clarinet.
The Fall Recital will take place on Friday December11 at 7 p.m. in the Immanuel Sanctuary. Come join us. We will celebrate with our students at a reception in Wesley Hall following the recital.

Russ Childers
For more than 35 years, Russ has been making music in the southern Ohio/northern Kentucky area. Whether as banjo player with the Rabbit Hash String Band or fiddle player with the husband-wife team Bear Foot or one-man-band-and-storyteller, his music defines him. His banjo playing has won him many state awards and even made him a Kentucky Colonel!

Rabbit Hash String Band
Russ and Barb Childers live in Batavia, Ohio, and primarily present old timey music to area school children. Warren and Judy Waldron live in Somerville, Ohio, but play and call square dances all over the region. Tommy Taylor lives in Rabbit Hash and performs with a bluegrass gospel band. His brother was the beloved 1930s WJJD Chicago country radio personality Pappy Taylor of Uncle Henry Warren's Kentucky Mountaineers Band.
The Rabbit Hash String Band features the twin fiddles of Tommy Taylor and Warren Waldron, the clawhammer banjo of Russ Childers, and Judy Waldron and Barb Childers round out the sound on guitar and banjo uke. All members, without warning, have been known to belt out a song.

Musikgarten
MUSIKGARTEN is a renowned method for teaching young children music. Anna Bonham-White, who teaches Musikgarten is a Kentucky licensed educator with 25 years experience teaching in churches and schools. She currently teaches piano and voice at NKU in the Music Prep Department .
Children – From birth, children love music. We help them channel their energy and focus their attention as they embrace music and enjoy learning.
Parents – We inspire parents to meet their children’s need for music education. We teach parents how to play with their children purposefully and joyfully.
Curricula – We offer a comprehensive early childhood program that spans the first nine years of a child’s musical development. Children love the progression from semester to semester, as patterns are repeated and built upon, addressing students’ needs at each level.
