WHAT IS THIS MINISTRY? Parish Nursing is a movement that encourages churches to reclaim their role in health care, a role that stems back to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting wellness in body, mind and spirit. The Parish health ministry uses a holistic approach to health care, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. It is a means of incorporating faith into the healing process to meet congregational members' physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
