Choral Ensembles Back to Top

Chancel Choir
Rehearses on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00,
Lakeside Park campus

The Chancel Choir, a choir for adults and older youth, leads our traditional worship services in the sanctuary of the Lakeside Park campus at 9:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings, and at special services throughout the year.   This SATB choir is a non-auditioned group that enjoys a wide variety of music styles and has an extensive repertoire of sacred music.   The choir sings a capella occasionally, but is usually accompanied on the Wicks pipe organ or our Yamaha grand piano.

Our Women’s Ensemble, a non-auditioned group, sings three and four part arrangements of sacred music for sanctuary worship approximately once per month.   This one-year-old ensemble is for those who enjoy great music in a setting of great warmth and fellowship.

Our three children’s choirs meet during the school year as part of the Wednesday afternoon ministry for children, www.kids and during the summer at Music Camp.   The www.kids program and the summer Music Camp are held at the Lakeside Park Campus.

Angel Choir - Wednesday, 4:30 to 5:00

Kids’ Praise - Wednesday, 4:30 to 5:00

Kids’ Praise is for children in first and second grades.   Songs, stories, games and crafts continue to teach music and spiritual fundamentals to these primary grade singers.

Joyful Noise - Wednesday, 5:15 to 6:00

Older elementary students in grades 3-5 learn musical and vocal fundamentals, hymns of the church and spiritual lessons at weekly rehearsals.

Adult Handbell Choirs

Chancel Bells
Rehearses on Thursday, 6:30 – 7:30, Lakeside Park campus

Joyous Vibrations
Rehearses on Sunday, 7:00 – 8:00, Lakeside Park campus

These adult ensembles play five octaves of Malmark handbells and three octaves of handchimes.   Musical meditations are provided for Sunday worship, festivals, seasonal services and concerts.

Youth Handbell Choirs

Jubilation
Rehearses on Sunday, 5:00 - 5:45, Lakeside Park campus

Grace Notes
Rehearses on Sunday, 5:45 - 6:30, Lakeside Park campus

Youth bell choirs ring for worship and concerts during the school year.   Their rehearsals are scheduled just before the youth group meetings on Sunday evenings.

Other Instrumental Opportunities

Classical musicians are often called upon to volunteer their gifts on an as-needed basis to accompany large choral works, provide meditations or service music.   These soloists and ensembles rehearse when called upon.

Praise Team - Crossroads
Rehearses Saturday Evenings, Lakeside Park campus

The Crossroads Praise Team accompanies Crossroads, our multi-sensory worship service in Wesley Hall on the Lakeside Park campus.   The team incorporates instruments such as drums, guitars, keyboard and other percussion.   They perform, with vocalists, a variety of musical styles.

Praise Team - Grace
Rehearses Wednesday Evenings,
Grace Campus office or offsite

The Grace Praise Band accompanies our multi-sensory worship service on the Immanuel - Grace Campus. The team incorporates instruments such as drums, guitars, keyboard and other percussion. They perform, with vocalists, a variety of musical styles.

Youth Praise Band
Rehearses Tuesday, 5:30 - 7:00, Lakeside Park campus

This praise ensemble for youth works faithfully to provide musical leadership for the Sunday evening Youth Explosion worship times, as well as share the gift of music and praise at other local functions, as well as lead services at various offsite opportunities.

New members are welcome in our choral and instrumental ministries at any time, and new ringers are added to bell choirs as space is available.   Auditions are not needed for any ensemble.   We encourage all who will, to use their musical gifts
to the glory of God.
