and has lived in Boone and Kenton Counties since she was a young child. Ruth married Larry Sisson
when she was fourteen years old and their union was blessed with seven wonderful children. Larry passed away in 1982 following a lengthy illness and
Ruth continued to raise her family as a single parent.
Ruth was employed by the Boone County Board of Education for twenty years and retired from there in 1993. At first, she served
as a "lunch lady" and later as a member of the custodial staff. One of her great joys was helping to open a number of new schools in the county. Ruth joined
the Immanuel staff in 1996 and has been a faithful servant of Christ ever since.
Her hobbies include doing lots of crafts and playing bingo when she can find the time. Ruth's biggest "hobby" is "taking
care of other people." In her spare time, Ruth also loves camping, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
