CONGREGATIONAL CARE - LOVING GOD BY LOVING OTHERS

PARISH NURSE/HEART AND SOUL LIFELINE:
The mission of the Heart and Soul Lifeline of Immanuel is to strengthen our faith community spiritually, physically and mentally.  Our goal is to reflect God’s love through professional and personal caring in a confidential manner.

Parish Nursing is a movement that encourages churches to reclaim their role in health care, a role that stems back to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by promoting wellness in body, mind and spirit.  The Parish health ministry uses a holistic approach to health care, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.  It is a means of incorporating faith into the healing process to meet congregational members’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

CARD MINISTRY: This ministry both creates and sends cards to persons listed on our Prayer Lists and others who are in need of encouragement for one reason or another.

FOREVER FRIENDS: Like many congregations, Immanuel has a number of "at-home" members who are unable to fully participate in ministries as they have done so in the past. Members of the church who serve as FOREVER FRIENDS are one point of support, love and communication with the person or household assigned to them.
