Dr.Kelly McClendon, Senior Pastor
Grace and peace to you in Jesus Christ. Having just joined the Immanuel staff in July, 2007, I am looking forward to becoming a part of all that God is doing in and through Immanuel.
I am a graduate of New Mexico State University (BA History major, Business Admin. minor) and The Divinity School of Duke University (M.Div.); and Asbury Theological Seminary (D. Min. Beeson Pastor). I have been in some form of pastoral ministry since 1984 serving as a student pastor, youth minister, campus minister, associate pastor, and senior pastor in churches North Carolina, New Mexico, Texas and Kentucky.
In addition to ministry my other interests include doing anything with my wife, Mary Beth, and my boys, Micah and Nathan. I enjoy singing, playing the guitar, reading, weight lifting, disc-golf, skiing (snow, water, jet-ski), movies, camping, hiking, and playing with my dog Sandy.
I believe God has called me here to Immanuel and am grateful to share the journey of faith with each of you. Let us go forward and join together in the ministries of celebration, formation, multiplication and administering the work of the church to enable us to love God and neighbor, and to go and make disciples of Jesus Christ.
